Vocation and opportunities, conference at ExpoDubai 2020

"Chile, vocation and opportunities for space development"
Chile is a country with exceptional natural conditions to collaborate with space development, its skies provide the best conditions in the world for astronomical observation, its position in the south of the world favours the control of space missions, especially those of polar orbit. Chile’s longitudinal geography allows the expansion of control of missions to different orbits and its diverse geographical conditions allow the simulation of extreme environments. Moreover, Chile has highly specialized scientists and technicians eager to collaborate with humanity’s space development.
In october 21st 2021, in the Chile pavilion at ExpoDubai 2020, Fundación Spatio Australis organized a round of conferences where different initiatives that seek to be a contribution to space development from Chile was be presented. You can watch the presentations below:
“Chile, an astronomical window to the universe”
Dr. Eduardo Ibar, academic of University of Valparaíso
“Preserving the chilean skies for astronomy and space science”
Dr. Eduardo Unda-Sanzana, Director, Astronomical Centre of Antofagasta University
“The use of cubesats for science and technology research as catalyzer for a space program: The SUCHAI program case”.
